EOS tokens dissappear during registration

#1

I moved my EOS from KuCoin to Metamask (0x86fa049857e0209aa7d9e616f7eb3b3b78ecfdb0) and after completing the registration process all EOS and other tokens in the same wallet were removed.

Where are they now?

Not impressed.

Euh, the address you are sharing points to the EOS tokencontract. You can take your own Ethereum-address and put it in here.

Rene,
thanks, paste error.

0x53beADC17C1A51115AbD052B9E630b6798DeE509

This is the addy I used and there are no tokens registered to it.

I’ve retraced my steps a few times and can’t figure out what or where it went wrong.

Any help appreciated.

looks like you removed the EOS-tokens from your address about 8 days ago. Is that correct??

Here’s how it happened: If I can understand what went wrong that would be great.

My Metamask wallet: 0x53beadc17c1a51115abd052b9e630b6798dee509

All mentioned tokens were stored to the above metamask wallet.

Points to note: I was using Brave browser for this with the chrome metamask plugin. I also have metamask running on a PC within Firefox. The value of the other mentioned tokens is insignificant however the details have been added for information.

Hey, sorry. I think I can not help here. To me it looks like there were no EOS-tokens on your address during the snapshot. About 9 days ago the EOS were removed from this address.

#7

EOS were removed under tx 0x3e5dc7faff25aca88ece060670a2bf1ff5e4c89ac5b62d604e15ea6b76e39761

to contract 0x86Fa049857E0209aa7D9e616F7eb3b3B78ECfdb0

which is an EOSTokenContract

so they should be with EOS?

Here you see the EOS coming in from the EOS-contract:

Here’s the link:

You can also see that the last EOS-transaction moved the tokens to this address:

Hi Rene,

the two incoming EOS transactions for 1.5 and 108.8556 were from my KuCoin exchange. I was removing them for registration (turns out I didnt need to!).

I really appreciate your help Rene. I’ve traded on other networks for over a year. This is my first dealing with the Eth network and metamask and to be honest I’m not impressed.

The tokens were definitely removed by the EOSTokenContract (0x86Fa049857E0209aa7D9e616F7eb3b3B78ECfdb0).

Metamask shows no transactions and I did not approve anything.

Surely only a contract would be able to do that but then wouldn’t I need to approve something.

Heeeeeelp.
